Light Source and Shading Video

Hey everyone!

We have a new video for you today. This video talks about how to use your light source to create more realistic shading. Enjoy!!

Let us know if you have any questions.

Shading Basics Video

Hey everyone!

Here is a quick little video on some shading basics.

Most smiles are started by another smile.

In a little less than four weeks, my beautiful niece Lily turns 13 and this Saturday, we’re sitting down to plan a little party for her and her friends. In doing so, I am reminded why I picked up stamping as a hobby and what it means to create one of a kind cards and items with thought and love behind each piece.

With each project I take on, the time I spend laughing, learning and bonding with my nieces, the closer we become. I feel like I am passing on knowledge, exchanging stories and creating new memories.  My projects always individually reflect the uniqueness of the person and event.  I see stamping as a hobby that brings people together. Stamping, from start to finish, often leaves a lasting impression well after the project reaches an end.  I love that my joys are incorporated into a hobby that leaves a ripple effect and at the end of the day, I’m happiest knowing that something I did, passed along a smile.

So tell me, why do you love your hobby?

Sparkly Strawberries Card

Hey everyone!

Today I have a simple card to share with you. The strawberries and sentiment label were both colored with Copic Ciaos and then accented with an At You Spica in Lipstick.

For the red part of the strawberries, I used R29 and then shaded with R59 (later in the week I hope to share with you a little trick on shading)

For the yellow part I used Y15 and then shaded with Y17.

The lighter green I used was G21 and I used the darker YG63 for a little shading and for the darker portion of the leaves.

For a shadow I used W1.

The seeds on the Strawberry were accented with the Glitter Spica in Lipstick.
For the label, I colored it in with Y15 and then outlined it with the Lipstick Glitter Spica.
