Tilda with Daisy

For today's project I decided to go with another One Sheet Box decorated with a simple little tag to go with a birthday gift I'm delivering tomorrow. Who can't use a bit of chocolate on their birthday?!

I posted a tutorial to make on One Sheet Box recently....so I will direct you there for the directions.

For today's box, I colored Magnolia's Tilda With Daisy stamp with Copic Markers:
Flower/Dress BG49, BG45, BG70, B00, B0000
Hair E59, E57, E31
Skin E00, E02
Shoes W7, W5, W3, W1
Flower E38, E32, YG17, YG25

I used a K&Co tag I had handy, and added some white gel pen accents. I fussy cut Tilda and popped her up on foam tape for dimension. Some coordinating seam binding finishes my tag.

Hot Cocoa For Two Treat Box

Hi everyone! Samantha here and I want to share the little treat box & matching card I made for my husband for this past Valentine's Day. I think this would be a perfect little anytime treat box to share with a friend, family member, neighbor, etc.

It is a hot cocoa treat box, built to hold two hot cocoa packets!! I only has Nestle & Swiss Miss in the house, but both of them will fit this treat box. I am guessing other packets would fit in here also :)

To make this treat box:

Cut pieces of cardstock the following sizes: one piece at 3.5X12inches and two pieces at 5.5X3.5
(Scoring guides are at the very end of this post if you need a visual of the scoring). Score along the 12 inch piece at the following: 5inch, 6inch, 11inch. Fold along score lines. This piece will be the outside of the treat box. The outside of the treat box can be decorated as desired.
For both of the smaller pieces: Score along 3 sides (two sets of score marks on the 5.5inch side) at 5/8inch and 1inch. Trim off the corners where all the score marks cross and fold into 3sided "pockets". The front of these can be decorated with patterned paper like shown (patterned paper was cut to 3.25X2.25inches).
Attach pockets to box. Punch holes for twine. Fill with hot cocoa packets and tie the box closed with the Orange Divine Twine.

Here is a closer look at my coloring. I used this adorable image from CC Designs called Kiki La Rue Latte.

I used the following Copic colors:

For the lightest part of the cup: E40, E41, E42
For the darker band on the cup: E44, E47, E49
For the heart: R29
For her hair: E30, E33, E39
For the clothes: YR000, YR00, YR01, YR12
For her skin: E000, E00, E01

Grow - A simple card

Hi ya everyone! Melissa here today and I'm sharing a very simple card I created using the Some Odd Girl stamp called Grow. I'm so excited that iCopic is now carrying these fabulous gals so I just had to color one up for today. I had a ton of fun using my Copics to color her dress. So many fabulous folds just pop out and therefore, I kept the card simple. Stamping the background paper with the clouds that come with this stamp. The sentiment is also part of the set.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp Grow, her clouds and sentiment. Next, I colored her in the following Copics: C1, C3, C5, C7, 100, R22, R24, R29, E000, E00, E11, E50, E51, E53, G20, G24.

A Quick and Easy Gift Bag

It's Marie here and I get to share a tip on how to make a cute gift bag quicker than you can blink an eye! I am using an adorable image called Cherry Cupcake by Wild Rose Studio. I think she has such a cute face and is a perfect stamp for any kind of celebration.

Copic Alcohol Ink Markers

E000, E11, R20

G20, YG63, G40 (This is one of my favorite color combinations!)

B000, B12, B32

Y0000, Y000, Y32

Hair: E40, E42, E44, W6 and a White Sharpie

Sponged with Memento Bamboo Shoots Dye Ink (Tsukineko)
Colorless Blender: I dotted the dress with a coorless blender to add texture. The Blender will push the ink our of the way. The texture will lighten as it dries. You can always go back and increase the amount of texture.

This is a plain gift bag that can be purchased in packed of 10.

Tip: I frequently use white so it will coordinate with whatever my color theme is for any given project.

Background layer cut at 8.5 in. x 4.5 in.

Top layer of designer paper cut at: 3.75 in x 5.5 in.

Focal image mat cut with Petite Small Nestabilities Die (Spellbinder). I use a combination of Petite Oval (Small/Large) Nestabilities Die.

Left: flat Right: Scored, Sponged, Curled

I like to make veins with a scoring tool, sponge with various colors of ink and curl with scissors slightly. Notice how much more dimension the lea on the right has when compared to the one on the left. The extra detail gives the leaf a more realistic look.

The layers were adhered and the gift bag was embellished with ribbon, flowers and leaves. I added Platinum Stickles (Ranger) to the bow.

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial on making a quick and easy gift bag for that special little girl. I have a "little" friend that has her name on this one! Now..... I wonder what I should put in it for her little surprise?

Since this week's challenge is to use the BGs, I thought I would do something a little different. I colored Mermaid Anya's hair with them! I stamped her in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and used these Copics to color her:
hair: BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11
skin: YR00, E00, R20 for cheeks and eyelids
mermaid tail fin: G07, G05, G02
top: R24, R22, R20
I made this card into a tag holder. I used a clear sheet and hand sewed it to the bottom of the card front so that the tag with Mermaid Anya had a pocked to sit in.

The polka dots on her tail fin were done with some inverse masking I guess you could call it. I stamped the mermaid image and then cut out the fin using a craft knife so that I could stamp over the tail without it getting anywhere else. I used the SP & Company - Easter Eggy set. Isn't it funny how we can find other uses for our stamps!? I love it! :)

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! Today I have a bookmark to share with you. This could also serve as a gift tag as well. I used the adorable Hawaiian Birgitta by C.C. Designs and stamped her in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored her up with Copics:

I paper pieced her shirt using the Sugar & Spice 6x6 paper pad by Dovercraft. Then I lightly shaded it with G20. The sentiment is from the For Every Woman stamp set by SP & Company. Last but not least I added some Divine Baker's Twine in Oyster and Cotton Candy for the top along with some green ribbon from my stash.

Hi everyone! Samantha here! Today I am bringing you something a little different. I made a funky, grunge inspired card. My card was inspired by this super cool Kitty Cat Marci stamp from La-La Land Crafts. I thought this stamp would be great for a teenie bopper card, so that was my inspiration for this card.

Teens can be too cool for your traditional every day greeting card, so I really wanted to make this one super funky. I used bright colors, blacks, grey. I even used this cool foil embellished patterned paper.

So your tip for today is to explore styles and color schemes that are a little different. Think a little outside your comfort zone. This was a little outside my comfort zone because I usually do girly, cutesy cards. :)

Tuesday Tips & Tricks: Make the Most of your Markers!

Hi there friends! It's Sheri here and I have tons to share with you for this Tuesday Tips and Tricks! First off, I have a Heart Box I created for our Heart Challenge. After hunting all over the internet for a tutorial, I finally settled on this one. I fiddled with it a bit, die cut the heart shapes on my Cricut and came up with this. I colored Tilda with Flowers and added her to the top of the box, along with bunches of embellishments to really make the box Valentine-y! ;)

I 'm also excited to share with you my Copic Journal. Recently, I came across Brenda's gorgeous journal, which led me to the download for the journal here. I knew I had to make one too!

Since it is important to use the paper that you typically stamp on for your journal, I simply printed the pages out on my Cryogen card stock. I divided the pages into quarters and trimmed them to 5 1/2 by 4. They fit wonderfully into a Photo Book for 4 by 6 inch photographs, that I found at Joanns.

The first set of pages is where I colored and inventoried all of my markers.

After that, my next few pages are where I have examples of hair.You can add skin combinations here also.

I stamped Tilda with Lace Jeans out repeatedly, cut her out with an oval Nestie, colored her up and popped her into my journal, where I also noted what combination of Copics I used.

Next, I've colored and listed my favorite Copic combinations

On this page, you can see where I have come across a favorite combination on someone's project. I noted the markers that they used. This way, I have a shopping list ready to go. :)

There is also a section for you to list the Copic marker families.

I love having my marker inventory, my favorite coloring combinations and my wish list at my finger tips. Also, the the design of the photo album allows me to set it up on my craft desk while I'm coloring, which makes it a very handy resource.

I Love You - Envelope Box

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! I hope you are all having a great Saturday! Today I have a fun envelope box to share with you. For my main image I used the super cute Fergus Wishing by Wild Rose Studio and stamped him in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. He is actually sitting on a present but I just wiped off the ink on the part of the stamp I didn't want with my finger and then stamped it. I love how this stamp can be versatile that way.

I gave this project more of a masculine feel because I thought it would be cute for my fiancé. I colored Fergus with Copics:
R24, R22, R20
C5, C3, C1
Y35, Y13, Y11
YR16, YR15

The sentiment is from the Love 'n Breakfast set by Lawn Fawn. The polka dots that are stamped on the grey card stock are from SP & Company. I put some Glossy Accents on the red heart and also on the yellow of his feet and ears.

Here's a view of the box without the belly band. I used some dimensional adhesive on the lower part of Fergus so that it would stop the belly band from falling lower on the box. I also used some of the Prima Say it in Crystals as well for the same reason.

Here is a view of the back of the box. The completed box is 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 1/2". It would be perfect for 3 x 5 photos (what I made the box for originally) or really anything you can think of. I'm thinking little individually wrapped candies!

Beep-Beep I Love You: Coloring Images to Look Like Metal

Beep-Beep I Love You

Hi there Copic Lovers, Marie here and I am excited to share this image I colored using Copic Alcohol Ink Markers. This adorable image is a rubber stamp called Beep Beep I Love You from Whiff of Joy at iCopic. Metals are one of my favorite things to color. Some look like copper, gold, patina, pewter, tin, silver an may more. Although there are many types of metal, I wanted to color this adorable robot a simple shiny silver color.

Shiny silvery metal is a cool color so I selected the Cool Grey Copic Markers to color the robot.

This kind of silver has a sharper contrast between the shadow and highlights than the softer metal. The shiny metal also has some reflective light. I used my colorless blender and lightly pushed the color from my highlight area to the darker area. Remember that the colorless blender is a "pusher" of color. I rarely do this however, I think it worked well on the metal. I then went back and darkened by shadow areas and blended toward the highlighted area.

Since coloring the metal was my challenge, I started with that color in case I made a mistake. I then colored the green combos, red flowers and then the blue monitor. Isn't he just the cutest little thing?

I used the green and yellow-green color combos. I used G21, G24, YG61 and G28 for the Green areas of the Robot and the foliage. I sparingly used G82 for the deep shadow area.

I used YR00 for the highlight in the flowers. I used R20 and R22 for my mid tones and R24 for my dark tones. I sparingly used R46 with a light coat of c3 and R46 on top again for the very darkest of shadows.

The monitor was colored with B21 for the shadow areas and BG10 and B000 for mid tones. I used B0000 for my highlighted areas.

I used Clockworks embossing folder for my top layer because I think it coordinates nicely with a robot. I adhered my layers and used hand quilled roses and heart shaped rhinestones for my embellishments

Milton With Daisy on a One Sheet Box

Michelle here today sharing a sweet little project featuring Wild Rose Studio's Milton With Daisy image.

I colored my image with the following Copic markers: E59, E57, E55, E53, E51, Y38, T35, Y32, YG17, YG03, R85, R83, R81. To add texture to Milton I used the Colorless Blender solution and a piece of terry cloth.

For my little box, I used one sheet of Chocolate Truffle cardstock. I added black lines and measurements to each photo to guide you along.

Finally I topped my bag with a bunch of sweet girly goodness. I started with a 4.5 inch circle, folded in half and faux stitched with a white signo gel pen. I added some glittered punched pieces, and layered various dies and gems.

Milton is fussy cut and is layered on some designer paper from the store...by Fizzy Moon.
A finishing touch is a snippet of Cotton Candy Divine Twine tied in a bow!

Some Odd Girl's Crushin' Gwen!

Good morning iCopic family! Tracy here on this fine Wednesday! So was anybody as excited as I to learn that iCopic is now carrying "Some Odd Girl" stamps??? They are not only cute but I love that they include other pieces like sentiments with them. I picked up a few and couldn't wait to ink and color them.

Today I have used Crushin' Gwen from Some Odd Girl. I know alot of people stay away from coloring blacks! It takes some practice but once you get the hang of it, it's really quite simple and fun to do! I usually use C3, C5, C7 and C9 for my blacks. The Some Odd Girl stamps really lend themselves well to adding pleats and folds too! I usually lay on my lightest color first to "wet" the fibers. I work light to dark and then work myself backwards blending out from dark to light. Add your darkest color in those spots where you feel dark shadows would be and just start blending out. I find this really helps in blending those dark colors.

Here are the Copic colors I used to color Crushin' Gwen up:

Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20 (lips R02)

Dress/Shoes- C3, C5, C7, C9

Necklace and bracelets - R81, R85

Hair - E21, E23, E25, E29

Eyes - B00

For the card I took a scallop circle and added my own little "eyelets" with a hole punch. I then stamped the hearts that are included with Crushin Gwen. I added Crystal Effects to the solid hearts and sprinkled some Diamond Dust on top of the Crystal Effects. You could use another type of glue but I like the Crystal Effects because it adds some dimension to it.

Life Happens - Let's Texturize!

Hello all you Copic Lovers! Marie here and I wanted to share two texturizing techniques today. I am using this adorable stamp called Get Well Toby by Wild Rose Studio I think this little guy is just so cute, and it is the perfect stamp to practice adding texture to your images.

In the post iCopic Lover: Just For You I texturized Toby by using a "tapping" method with my Copic Alcohol Ink Markers. Let me show you two other ways to texturize!

Color your focal image as you would normally. Do not over blend. You do not want to over blend. You want to keep the texture.

Apply rubbing alcohol to a small piece of wash cloth. You can also apply Copic Colorless Blender Refill to the cloth and lightly dab the part of the image you want to texturize. Be very careful not to oversaturate your cloth because Colorless Blender is a "mover". Contrary to it's name, the Colorless Blender is NOT a blender, but it moves ink from one location to another.

If you get over zealous, your ink will run outside our lines. Yes, it is the voice of experience talking here! Dab the cloth lightly and you will be fine. When you do this, stay away front he edges of you image to avoid the color from running outside your lines. Try this with different types of fabric. You will get a different look. How about an old pair of jeans!

The second method is to tap or touch the tip of your Copic Colorless Blender Pen to your image you want to texturize. Remember that the color will become lighter when it dries. You can always go back and texturize the image again later if you want a more dramatic effect.

This is how Toby looks after I added texture. In this particular example, I used the alcohol directly to a small piece of wash cloth. You can see that it gives a more natural appearance to the fur.

I lightly shaded the bandages with C3 and C0. I shaded a little heavier than I would usually for coloring white. As a nurse, I rarely see a bandage that stays "white" for 5 minutes after it's application.... so - need I say more!

I lightly shaded around the image with BG0000 and placed a few light dots of E000 and R20 and then blended again with BG0000. I grounded Toby with W3 .

Notecard Boxed Set

Hi, everyone! It's Kelli and today I have a Valentine's Day / Love notecard boxed set to share with you! I used the adorable Love 'n Breakfast set by Lawn Fawn and stamped everything in Memento - Tuxedo Black Ink. I can't get enough of these cute little guys! I made 6 cards, all are 3"x3". I just chose different images and sentiments that went together.

Here is the box of cards all packaged up.

To make the bottom of the box, you'll first want to stamp your design before you score, cut and fold. It's a lot easier that way. This is the inside of the bottom so my polka dots are on the back.
The measurements are a little weird, but after some testing I found that these fit the best.
Here are the card stock measurements for the box:
Top: 4 3/16" x 4 3/16" - scored at 1/2" on all four sides
Bottom: 4 5/8" x 4 5/8" - scored at 3/4" on all four sides
Here you can see where you're supposed to make cuts (do this on both the top and bottom pieces). You will just fold those little tabs in and glue them to form both the pieces (separately). I cut a little angle on both sides of all the tabs because it helps give a cleaner finished product.

Here's a side view of the completed set wrapped in Cherry - Diving Baker's Twine.

For the top of the box I used some leftover plastic packaging, but you could definitely use a transparency or window sheet. It's a little harder to score and fold, but the look is totally worth it. I love being able to see through the box! Since I knew the areas where I glued would be visible, I opted for glue dots because they are perfectly round and would give the cleanest look. At this very moment it just occurred to me that I could have adjusted the measurements to make the clear top slide INSIDE the red bottom! That would be an even cleaner look. So, if you wanted to adjust the measurements you could make it so the clear piece slips inside the red instead of over it. I'll have to try that next time! :)

Here are the 6 cards that I put in the box. I added some Glossy Accents to parts of the images on each card to add a little something extra since these are all one layer.
First we have, 'you're egg-cellent' and 'we go together' (like peanut butter and jelly). The 2 pieces of bread don't come with the peanut butter and jelly outlines, I drew them on, but it was super easy. Just outline a squiggly circle and then color it in. The two little pieces of bread go best with the 'popping up to say' sentiment and the little toaster image in the set! I think they make cute peanut butter and jelly guys though! :)

egg: YR15, Y35, Y15, N0 for white shading
bacon: R27 over E23, I didn't have any deeper bacon colored reds.
bread: E21 and E51
crust and peanut butter: E25 and E23
jelly: V15 and V12
bow: R27, R24 and R22

Next we have 'we go together' (like salt and pepper) and 'you're my stud-muffin'!
salt: C3, C1 and B21, B0000 for lid,
pepper: C5, C3 and B21, B0000 for lid, R27, R24 and R22 for bow
muffin: E27, E25, E23 for muffin top, R29, R27, R24 and R22 for bottom

Last but not least, 'you're my' (cup of tea) and 'i love you'!
teacup: V15, V12 and E25 and E23 for tea inside
hearts: R29, R27, R24 and R22

Howdy! Michelle here with a birthday card for a little baseball buff! I went with a sweet LaLa Land image called Baseball Luca. If you are a LaLa Land buff...there are 70 images available in the store and this one is ON SALE!!

I colored my little man with the following Copic Markers: E44, E43, E42, E59, E57, E55, E37, E35, E21, E02, E00, B99, B97, B95, R89, R59, R29, 0 Colorless Blender. For his hat I was going for a sueded cotton like some of the nicer hats are...so after shading I stippled it with my colorless blender to add the suede texture.

Now, here is my inspiration project for this week. If you're like me, the BV collection is a bit of an under utilized set. However, once I started coloring, I found myself really loving them! Madden from The Greeting Farm is a fun girl, isn't she? Perfect for a little BV hair, in fact! Also, you might be able to see there is even a bit of BV04 in the airbrushed background.

Normally I'm a pick-my-papers-first, color-second kind of girl, but this time I colored Madden first and picked out my papers afterwards. So much harder! LOL. But, to help bring the papers together, I used a bit of Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Fired Brick around the edges...

and I think it worked.

A Gorjuss Milk Carton with Treats!

Hi ya everyone! Melissa here to share a little milk carton I made using the ADORABLE Gorjuss Clear Stamp - Little Foxes. This is my first time coloring a Gorjuss stamp, and well, I'm completely addicted to her.

I added a little acetate window to the box so you could see the candy inside and because I wanted a fun home for my image to be placed. I separated the fox from the image and adhered him to her boot and then placed both on top of the acetate window and milk carton.

Before adhering her I colored her with Copic Markers on X-Press IT Blending Card Paper. Next I added a bit of Opaque White using a small toothpick. Opaque White is fabulous for making small highlights on images. There is also so much in a little tub that you are sure to have enough for a long time!
I used the following Copics for this project

Clothing including hat: R81, R83, R85, R89, RV32, RV34, R20, R22, R24, R29, C00, C1, C3, C5

Teacher Valentine

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! Today I wanted to share a card with you that your child can give their teacher on Valentine's Day. I used the adorable and perfectly fitting Teacher Anya stamp by The Greeting Farm which was stamped in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. She will be available in the store again on the Jan. 31st, just in time for Valentine's Day! You can actually change out the main image and use this layout and color scheme for any Valentine's Day card!
I also wanted to show you how you can add actual dimension to your colored images in a very quick and simple way. The tutorial for that will follow the completed pics!
Here's the finished card!

Here's a closeup of Teacher Anya. I colored her with Copics: E59, E57 and E55 for her hair. I tried a new skin combo which I really like and it's E21 and E51. I used R29, R27, R24 and R22 for her shirt, skirt and apple. For her sweater vest I paper pieced it using some patterned paper, but I added some C5 and C3 so it wouldn't be so flat. Last but not least, I colored the leaf on the apple with G28 and G24.

I wanted to give the sentiment a little something extra so I used the SP & Company - Hearty Hearts Backgrounds stamp to add some very light pink hearts.

Here is a quick tutorial on how to make parts of your image dimensional!
I really wanted to make the apple pop for this card. Since I was only going to be using the apple I just needed to stamp that portion of the image instead of the whole thing.

Since I was going to cut the apple out I didn't have to worry about staying in the lines when I colored it, which is always fun, haha!

Whenever I cut something out that has a black outline, I always like to take my Memento - Tuxedo Black marker and color the edge (core) of the card stock. This just helps to make it look more finished.

Even though I was going to be covering up the apple on the main image, I still like to color them with just one color, so if someone sees under the layered apple it won't be just plain white underneath. I took some foam adhesive and put it on the back of the cutout apple and layered it on top.

Here's a side view so you can see the added dimension. I love doing this because it's relatively quick and simple but adds a lot to your project. You can also see the black on the edge that I did with the marker. After the card was complete I added some Glossy Accents to the apple to give it a more realistic shine.

Last time I brought you a Cupcake kit, today I want to share a simple but cute treat box!

I have used a magnolia from the lastest collection, Sweet Love. She is called Tilda with Wrapped Heart and she is available in the store as well.

As I said before, this little treat box is quite simple. I believe they call it a 2, 5, 7, 10 box. Why? Because you score an 8.5x11 sheet of paper at 2, 5, 7 and 10 inches and then turn it and score at 2" and 7". Cut all the flaps off the top of the 2" section except ONE! The cut the score lines up until you get to the fold, to create flaps on for the bottom of the box. Then fold it all up, use some good adhesive told hold it all together. Simple, simple!

As always, I have used Copics from my coloring.

Stipple Coloring Technique

Hi everyone! Samantha here.

I have showed you projects in the past where I have done this Stipple technique, but I have never shown you in a video. So today I thought I would show you my process in a video so you can easily replicate this on your own projects.

I think this technique looks great for snow as shown in my video, but it could also be used to make a pretty background, or to color in something with texture. It would also look great maybe for a fur technique.

Blush Bonnie - The Greeting Farm

Hello there! Michelle here with a few little tips today. I colored up Blush Bonnie from The Greeting Farm....and my tip is a simple one.

~On small areas of clothing...use the 0 Colorless Blender to add a fabric-like texture. Her dress and socks are all one color... RV17.

I stamped my sentiment from SP&Co's Candy Hearts set and then ran my card through the Xyron machine and covered the front of it with some You're So Fine glitter.

The Spellbinders die has been sprayed liberally with Fireworks in Lilac Posies for some added glimmer.

I embellished my Candi embellishments and her hairpiece with some tiny Stampendous heart stickers.

Bonnie herself is fussy cut and popped up on foam tape for added dimension.

Other Copics used: 0, W7, W5, E11, E02, E00, R02, E59, E57, E55.

Feeling a Little Blue?

Hi there! My name is Sheri and I cannot even tell you how over the moon, excited I am to be a part of this super talented team. Just a little about myself. I have been a crafter for quite a few years and have been stamping for about 10 years or so. However, stamping took on a whole new twist for me when I found Copic Markers and from then on, I was smitten. I live and work full time in Southern California, I am happily married, and am a mom to one incredibly gorgeous daughter, both inside and out. I'm also lucky enough to be a grandmother to THE two most perfect grandchildren.

Now...onto the card that I made for this week's Blue Challenge. The stamp is the darling Tilda with Lace Jeans from Magnolia. I air brushed the sky and while I had my air brush going....I darkened my first layer of patterned paper with B95, to better match my colored image....cause I'm a stickler like that. ;)

Valentine's candy gift box!

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! Today I have an m&m's gift box to share with you. First, I'll tell you about the main image and then we will go to the tutorial pics! I decided to make something that you'd give a guy on Valentine's Day. My fiancé likes candy (don't we all, haha) so this will be perfect for him. The little guy on the front is Edward from The Greeting Farm and he is stamped in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I colored him using Copics: E29 and E27 for the darker hair and shoes and E25 and E23 for the few highlights. E21 and E00 for the skin. For his vest I used R29, R27 and R24 and for his shirt I used RV25 and RV23. Last but not least, B34 and B32 for his pants. I used a white gel pen to draw the little hearts onto his vest so he would have more of a Valentine's feel. The brown patterned paper I used for the background is actually kinda fuzzy! It is from the Prima - North Country Mulberry 6x6 Paper Pack.

The sentiment is from the Ultimate Sentiments II set by SP & Company.

Here are the pictures of the finished project followed by the box tutorial!

(Sorry, this picture isn't the greatest because I had to lean the project against the back of my light box.)

I used printer paper to show you where to score so that it would be easier to see. First start out with 2 pieces of card stock in the color you want your box to be. One needs to be 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and the other needs to be 6" x 3".

We won't be doing anything else with the smaller piece until it's time for assembly. You'll want to take the larger piece and score at 1 1/4" on each side.

Then you will want to score at 1/2" on each side, so your score lines will be where I have lined in black. On the printer paper template I didn't leave any tabs for the lid or bottom flap. You can choose to do it with or without little tabs, I show you in my finished box where I left the tabs. If you choose to leave the little tabs, do NOT cut the little squares away that I circled in red. If you are wondering what I mean about tabs and what the box will look like, it will be like the box a deck of cards comes in. It has the lid you lift open with the 2 little tabs on the edge.
I used the word 'tabs' a whole bunch of times in that last paragraph, haha!

Here is what you need to cut off if you don't want any tabs. Like I said in the picture above, just leave the red squares if you want tabs. You will then put adhesive on both the outer long edges (after you have folded on all the score lines) and then you'll glue them to the edge of the 6"x 3" piece we cut earlier. The 6" x 3" piece is basically just the back panel of the box.

Here is the assembled template.

Here is what it should look like if you leave the pieces for the tabs.

I actually had to cut them down and angle them quite a bit to get them to slide nicely into the box when I closed the lid. You can round the corners of the lid to give it a more finished look. Just fold the tabs in and you should be able to fit it in a corner rounder punch.

Completed! The perfect fit for a regular sized bag of m&m's! The completed box measurements are 6" tall x 3" across x 3/4" deep.

Leaning Tilda: A Masking Technique

A BIG hello to all you iCopic Lovers! It's Marie and it's my turn to bring you Wednesday's "Anything goes" tutorial! I selected an adorable Magnolia stamp called Leaning Tilda. This wonderful, versatile stamp is currently in stock at iCopic . Check out all their adorable Magnolia stamps.

Leaning Tilda (Magnolia)

The technique I am using today will be "MASKING". This is a great technique when you want to provide a background for your image or you want to ground your image. My little Leaning Tilda image needs to be positioned within a circle or she needs to lean on something. I did not want to sketch anything today so I used a stone wall stamp that I already had in my stash. Take a sneak peak at the new stamps I will be able to use with my little Tilda in the future HERE and HERE. How Cool is that! (So Christmas isn't over, wink, wink!)

I stamped my image on Cryogen (Curious Metallic, Inc) Not all paper is equal. Some paper will leave a waxy coat on your Copic pens and ruin your nibs. This paper is wonderful, and will not cause problems with your precious Copic Markers.

The image is stamped a second time on some scratch copy paper (any lightweight paper) and cut the image out with a fine tip scissor to form a mask. I like to use the Cutter Bee scissor (Ek Success). I find that post-it Notes make great masks as well. (Cardstock is too thick for me and I find that when I stamp over the top, I don't get a clean finish). Place the mask over the top of your focal image and stamp the stone wall image on top.

TIP: Save the mask! I use them over and over again. As you can tell, this Tilda mask has been loved and used many times! I place them in a see through envelope and keep the masks with their respective stamps. This makes it easy to find and it saves a lot of time!

Remove the mask and its magic! You can see that Tilda is positioned leaning on the stone wall.

Finish coloring the stone wall or your focal image with your Copic markers.

Michelle here again today for Samantha this time! It's Tips and Tricks Tuesday and I have two little tricks for you today.

Trick #1 - I'm a *flicker* sort of girl! For the hair on my little ladies today I started by flicking the darkest colors, then the medium colors and then just did a slight blend for their hair. I wanted the textured look for their lucious locks!

Trick #2 - fussy cutting is quick and easy and I find myself doing it on many of my images. To get a smooth line when cutting, turn your paper, not your scissors. I take lots of tiny straight cuts on the more detailed areas of the image. Pop your image up on foam and it adds great dimension to your project!

Love You Ian Card

Hi everyone! Samantha here, filling in for Michelle today.

I wanted to show you a cute little Valentine's Day card I made recently. This was created using the adorable Oh Boy Ian single stamp, from The Greeting Farm. Isn't he just adorable?!

I don't actually have my usual colors list as I am away from home, but I wanted to share this card anyway because I think it is a great example of SHINY hair, which is what our challenge this week is about.

To achieve my shiny hair look, I colored Ian's hair in a halo type pattern. I used a much lighter color for the ring part, and then darkened his hair as it got further from the ring. The ring part is significantly lighter than the rest of his hair, which gives the illusion that his hair is really shiny! For an even brighter, shinier look, you could even leave the small ring white.

For the final touch around my image, I inked around the edges of the image with the Tim Holtz Ink Applicator Tool and some aqua ink.

Fun with Washi Tape!

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! Today I'm going to be showing you something fun you can do with Washi Tape and hand sewing! Before we get to the tutorial, let's talk about the main image on the card, the adorable Crafthouse Press - Dandelion Love stamp. I stamped these cute little bunnies with Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics: E31, Y35, Y23, Y13, Y11 and R20 for the ears. I didn't use any E31 on the small bunny because I wanted it to be a little lighter than the bigger one. For the fur spots in the darker areas I took some E35 refill and put it on a paper towel and carefully dabbed it onto the image for some added texture. For the blue sky I used the Ranger Ink Blending Tool and Broken China Distress Ink. If you wanted the blue to come right up to the bunnies you can make a mask, but I kind of like the look of the white area around them. The little jewels in the sky are from one of the Prima - Say it in Crystals packs. I love these because they already have a bit of foam adhesive on the back so you can easily just pop them wherever you want them!
Here are some pictures of the finished card followed by the Washi Tape tutorial!

Here are the main items you'll need. I used two different widths of Washi Tape, but you can pretty much do this with whatever sizes you have. I cut a piece of white card stock to 4 1/4" (width of my card) x 1". I chose the 1" because it was just a little shorter than the width of the fatter Washi Tape and I knew I wanted to cut it down some. Something to keep in mind is that the Washi Tape is thin like tissue, so whatever color that is under it, you'll be able to see through, so that's why I chose to use white. Then, just a paper piercer, some embroidery floss and a needle big enough for the floss.

You've probably seen people do this technique with regular ribbon, but this is pretty much the same idea, just gather it and stick it down so that there are folds. It doesn't have to be perfect, it actually looks better if it's a little messier.

After I got all the way across, I flipped it over and cut off the excess tape that was hanging over the card stock.

I got really into what I was doing and didn't take a pic between these two steps, but after that I stuck the smaller Washi Tape along the top edge where I cut off the excess from before. Then I made holes along the seam of the two tapes with my paper piercer. After that I just started hand sewing using the holes I made!

I just taped the ends of the floss to the back of the paper since no one will see it. Then I tied a bow and used some Glossy Accents to stick it on. It's also good to use on the knot of the bow, it helps keep it from untying itself!

Good Morning! Tracy here. I'm so very excited today as this is my first post as part of the iCopic team!! I'm telling you they have so many cool things planned. You are SURE to get inspired!! I know that I am super excited to be a part of it!

I will quickly tell you a bit about myself. My name is Tracy. My stamping home is at Tracy's Stamping Corner. I have been blogging regularly for about 2 years, stamping for 10 and scrapbooking for about 12 years now. I have done it all! LOL Nothing has caught my attention as much as Copics did. I always have had a love for Art. So when I found Copics and I could color again, I was in heaven! In my "real" life, I have 2 wonderful kids (age 12 and 7) and have been married for about 13 years now. I work full-time. In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking and traveling! Every once in awhile I will throw a recipe that I found and love onto my blog! Thats about all for me. Now I get to show you this adorable Cupcake Kit! I apologize in a

That adorable little image is from La-La Land Crafts, she is called Sugar n' Spice. She is available in the iCopic store.

Anybody who knows me, knows that I LOVE cupcakes! So this little kit was right up my alley.

I used small plastic test tubes and filled them up with different types of sprinkles. Another idea I had was to make "picks" and creating a little pocket inside for the picks to be held in. I then used a piece of velcro as the "snap" to keep it closed. I looped the ribbon completely around the box that way you can also carry it.

Of course I used Copics to color Marci. iCopic has a great selection of Copic Markers. They have also carry the different types of barrels and refills!!!

Still Cold Out There!

Hi ya iCopic Lovers, Melissa here to share a little card I put together. I'm so excited to be joining this talented group of ladies and want to share my excitement with you!

The holidays are over and often times I find myself wishing for spring right away. However, that's just not going to happen, and it's still COLD out there! I decided to create this cute card using a winter stamp by The Greeting Farm from iCopic called Rain, Snow, Shine. We all need adorable holiday stamps for our holiday cards but often times feel limited with them, but don't! You can still create gorgeous cards with a wintery feel that are perfect before, during, and after the holidays.

This is a perfect example. I stamped her on X-press It blending card paper with Tsukineko Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I colored her with Copics in the following colors: E50, E51, E53, E55, BG10, BG72, BG75, E000, E11, E00, R20, W1, W3, W5. The paper is from Pink Paislee. I am always inspired by the wonderful cards that I see and amazed with the gorgeous, creativity that all of you bring to our community each and every day! Thank you for having me - I feel very humbled! I know this will be a great journey, and I am looking forward to getting to know you.

Tuesday is always Tuesday Tips & Tricks over here at ICopic Lover. For my first design team card, I used a cute little image from Wild Rose Studio called Milton with Barrow. Isn't he just the cutest little guy? I used Copic Alcohol Ink Markers for my focal image. Copic Various Ink Refills were used to show you a quick and easy tip for making a product that looks similar to Flower Soft. It is important to have a back up in case you run short on supplies or need a specific color to coordinate with your special project!

Here is me planning out my light source.

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black dye ink by Tsukeniko on Cryogen paper from Curious Metallic, Inc. My highlights will come from the right side. I selected this side because I wanted attention drawn to the flowers. I also made the flowers at the top the lightest in order to be consistent with my light source.

These are the Copic markers I used to color Milton. E59 will be the darkest of the shadow area. E31 will be the highlight. E31 and E50 will be used around the nose.

The bear was colored with E31 in order to avoid having any white spots. The darkest shadow area was colored sparingly with E59. A dotting method was used to apply the color in order to achieve texture in the fur. E25, E35, E33 and E31 was applied. The majority of the image was colored with E35 and E33. R20 was added to the inner ear and the little pads on the bottom of Milton's little foot. E31 was lightly applied over the top of the R20. The muzzle area around the nose was colored with E33 and E50.

These were the Copic markers I used for the scarf, wheel and barrow.

The scarf was colored with YG13 and YG01. For the wheel I used C0, C3, C5 and C7. The barrow was colored with E29, E27, E44 and E31. I just selected some colors to use on the flowers in order to get a feel for where I wanted to use my texture. There was no need to shade the flowers because they were covered with colored styrofoam. Adhere the layers of the card at this time. This step needs to be done before applying the texture to the flowers.

Tip of the Day: Add texture to the flowers. Sometimes I want to add Flower Soft to add texture. If I do not have the correct color of Flower Soft on hand, I take two pieces of styrofoam and rub them together to create fine granules. A drop or two of Copic Various Ink Refills color the styrofoam with the appropriate color. You only need to make the amount you need. No storage and no waste!

This is a sample of the styrofoam I colored with Copic R17. It is important to allow the styrofoam to throughly dry. Flower Soft Adhesive or Elmers Glue was applied to the image, one color at a time. Gently press the styrofoam down and allow to dry. This process can be repeated with as many colors as you choose to use. Just think... this can be coordinated with all your Copic markers! You just have to add a drop or two of any Copic Various Ink Refill to the styrofoam granules and thoroughly mix together. For my card, I wanted to be consistent with my light source. The styrofoam texture will not reflect light well so I chose to trick the eye by positioning my brightest color at the top where the light source would shine.

For my over the top bling, I used Sheer Shimmer Spritz over the entire scallop circle image. And if that wasn't enough, I added adhesive pearls around the scalloped area.

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! AHHHH!!! Is that how you feel too? Christmas is only two days away! I know some of you might be quickly putting together last minute Christmas cards, tags or thank you notes, so I made a set of all three that will only take you a couple minutes to make! I am actually really pleased with this clean and simple look! I used the awesome Holly Mistletoe Die by Whiff of Joy to cut the leaves and then colored them with Copics: G28, G24 and G21. Then I took the R29 marker and colored on top of some clear rhinestones that I had which I used for the holly berries. I love how they add just the right amount of bling to the projects. The 'Thank You' sentiment is form the SP & Company - Ultimate Sentiments I set and the 'Season's Greetings' is from Ultimate Sentiments II. They are all stamped in the VersaFine - Onyx Black Ink. For the string on the tag I used the Divine Baker's Twine in Cherry.

Santa Gift-Card Card

Today I have a quick gift-card card to share with you for iCopic. I used stamps from SP & Co and created a quick pocket on the front of my card that will hold a gift card.

Santa is colored with Copic Markers and has flocking on his hat and beard. The background is stamped, colored with a white color pencil and then erased for a soft muted look.

Hello everyone! Samantha here!

We're getting down to the wire now, so I thought I would share another last minute project. This card took me about 15-20 minutes to put together, including the coloring. I just did some very basic/simple shading.

Here is my card:

This adorable girl is from The Greeting Farm, and she is called Holiday Anya.
I colored her in with the following Copics:

For the hair: E15, E18, E49, E59
For the skin: E00, E21, E02
For the leaves and dress: G02, G05, G07, G17
For the reds: R29

The sentiment is from the SP and Company Christmas Emma Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I added some little swirly doos around the sides of the woodgrain paper using my White Gel Pen.

Hi everyone!! Samantha here with another Tuesday Tips and Tricks segment.

Today's Copic Tip:

PAPER POWER

Don't underestimate the power of good Copic paper!! There are lots of Copic quality papers out there, find one that you like and that works for you, and stick with it. Use the same kind of paper all the time when you are Copic coloring because then you will get consistent results (and start to color better and better). If you just use any old paper, or swap out your papers often, then you will have trouble becoming a Copic MASTER! So same paper, all the time.

99% of the time, I use the same paper, Xpress IT, which is available right here in the iCopic Store. I get beautiful results with this paper and I am hooked! But it really is a personal choice which paper you use. The bottom line is, find a paper you like, and use it consistently, and you WILL improve. You really have to know your paper (is it soft, easily feathers, can take up lots of ink, etc).

I added some extra sparkly snow with the AtYou Spica Glitter Pen #08 Turquoise.
I added some extra sparkles to the candy cane with the AtYou Spica Glitter Pen #21 Lipstick.
His buttons were colored in with the AtYou Spica Glitter Pen #23 Pitch Black.

To finish off the card, I added a little bow using some Cherry Divine Twine.

Sugarplum Fairy Christmas Card

Hi everyone!! Samantha here!

My project for today features a stamp that isn't traditionally a Christmas stamp, but I used it as one :)

Here's the finished project:

Card Details:

The main image is from Wild Rose Studio called Ballerina Mia.
I colored in the ballerina image with the following Copics from iCopic.com:

Skin: E000, E00, E01
Hair: Y11, Y15, Y18
Outfit: V20, V25
For the shadow under her feet: W1, W3

I sprayed the patterned paper with Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz.
I added some adhesive rhinestones that I colored with my Copics!! I used BV08 to color the rhinestones.

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!!

Samantha here, and today I am going to share with you my top 10 Favorite Christmas items available here at iCopic. There is still a little time left to stock up and get those Christmas cards done. And hey, what's wrong with getting some supplies and getting a head start on next year?

There are just so many gorgeous stamps available in the iCopic store and I wanted to share with you some of my favorite ones for Christmas.

So here you have it. . . Sami's Christmas Essentials list:

1. Whiff of Joy, Penguin's First Snow stamp
How adorable is this little guy?! I think he is just the cutest little darling.

2. CC Designs, Dazzle M Nightly stamp
CC Designs have some of the most adorable snowman stamps! This is just one of many of their cute little guys. Don't ya just love his smile?

3. Prima Jewels
There are so many wonderful adhesive jewels available in the iCopic store. They would be so lovely on a Christmas card (and you can use them anytime since they come in all sorts of colors).

4. SP and Company, Falling Snow Stamp Set
Yes, I am the owner, but this is one of my absolute favorite go-to Christmas sets. I can't even tell you how many times these snow mounds have come in handy. I use them all the time for my Christmas cards. They measure more than 5.5inches across so they can be used across an entire standard card base.

5. Stampavie, Alex in Snow with Puppies stamp
This is one of many gorgeous Christmas themed stamps from Stampavie that are available at iCopic. This one is one of my faves because of the puppies :)

6. Wild Rose Studio, Mia with Sammy stamp
Too cute for words!!

7. Gorjuss, The Bear stamp set
I think this image is just so heartwarming. I just love that darling polar bear.

8. La-La Land, Angel Marci stamp
She's so pretty! I can just imagine here colored in with soft Yellow Copics and then decorated with an AtYou Spica glitter pen.

9. Crafter's Companion, A Winter's Tale stamp set
I loved Peter the Rabbit as a little girl and so this stamp set just warms my heart. These images are just so detailed and nice looking. I can see these little rabbits being used for so many things. My favorite ones are the the two near the middle, where the one rabbit is throwing a snowball at the other one. So cute!

10. And how about some great Copic colors for Christmas. .. here are some of my faves:

Reds: R24, R27, and R29
Blues for Snow: B0000, B000, B00, and B01
Also snow: BG0000, BG000, and BG11

Happy Hanukkah!

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! The holidays are fast approaching! Hanukkah will be here in just a few days which means I had to make a card for my Grandma! Hanukkah colors are generally blue and silver, but I always feel like yellow should be included. Maybe it's because I think about the flame on the candles or something, lol. I used the super adorable Sweetheart Birgitta by C.C. Designs stamped in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. I felt it wasn't very Hanukkah-y, even with the computer printed sentiment so I decided to cut a dreidel out by hand. I actually traced it with a pencil and regular printer paper right from my computer screen and used that as a template and did the same with the two little blue stars on it! Oh, and if you were wondering, the Star of David (on the banner) is a capital Y on the Wingdings font. :)

To color this little cutie I used Copics:
hair - E29, E27, E25, E23
skin - YR00, E00, R22 for cheeks
dress - B37, B34, B39 for shadows
dress cuff, bows, shoes - B34, B32, C7 and C5 for shoe soles
tights - Y13, Y11, Y000, C3, C1, N0

Copic Various Ink - Polished Stone Technique!

Today I'm sharing some quick holiday cards that feature some glittered images from a designer paper pack and combining it with the Polished Stone technique for some quick and easy holiday cards!

Be sure to check out the large variety of designer paper packs in the store....so many to choose from!
For this technique I used a Various Ink Refill (E44) as well as the Copic Colorless Blender (0) solution.

I combined it with some Adirondack Gold Mixatives and applied it to some matte coated photo paper with the ink blending tool and felt. You will not want to use the foam for this technique.
I use photo paper because I like how the alcohol breaks up the ink when it reacts leaving hard marble-like patterns. Just keep puttering with it until you have the look you are going for. The more you putter, the smaller the veining will become and you will end up with a panel similar to mine.

I hope you are inspired to use your Copic Various Inks in this way to create some fabulous polished stone accents for your creations!

Tuesday Tips & Tricks: Gift Tags

Hello Friends! It's Rachel here with this week's Tuesday Tips and Tricks. Can you believe Christmas is next week? Where did the time go? It's crunch time, so I thought the perfect tip to share with you this week would be quick and easy gift tags. Start off by choosing a large image with a simple shape. This adorable gingerbread cookie image from the Cutest Gingerbread Man stamp set by SP & Company is perfect. The shape is simple to cut out and large enough to add a sentiment. I simply stamped the gingerbread onto Kraft cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, cut out the image and sponged Vintage Photo Ink all over to make him toasty. I used a white gel pen to add icing, some Christmas Red Stickles for buttons and some pink shimmer chalk for the cheeks. I stamped the Be Merry sentiment on the back and added my to and from message. I finished off the tag with some Cherry Divine Baker's Twine.

There are so many other wonderful stamp sets you can use to create gift tags. You can also even use dies to make it even easier. These adorable mittens by CC Designs would be wonderful to use for gift tags too. Be sure to check out all the wonderful products at the iCopic store for more gift tag inspiration.

Fancy Background Shimmer Tutorial

Hello everyone!! Samantha here! Today's project is a fancy background tutorial.

Are you ready for today's project and tutorial?? Here goes nothin'!

Below you will find a step by step photo tutorial on how to make this super cute shimmery background:

Steps
1. Cut Kraft cardstock to fit your card base. My card base happens to be a standard card base 5.5X4.25inches. I cut my Kraft cardstock 1.8inch smaller than the card base.

2. Emboss Kraft cardstock with an embossing folder.

3. Ink around the edges of the Kraft Paper with Brushed Corduroy Distressed Ink using the Tim Holtz Ink Applicator Tool .

4. Spray Kraft paper liberally with Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Let it dry completely before moving on to the next steps.

5. Attach Kraft cardstock to card base.

6. I wanted to add ribbon around my card, but I created a card that opened on the side. So what I did was I cut a slit in the fold of the card so that I could get the ribbon to go around the card.

7. Slide ribbon through the slit on the side of the card and tie it into a bow.

This absolutely ADORABLE image is from Stampavie, called Alex in the Snow with Puppies.

I used the following Copics from iCopic.com to create this card:

For the dog collars: Y19, G21, G24, and G28
For the dog tongue: R12
For the skin: E00, E21, E02
For the sweater: BG45, BG49
For the hair: E11
For the dogs, light part of scarf, and boots: E21, E23, E25, and E27
For the scarf and pants: E42, E43, E44, E47, and E49
For the snow: BG0000, BG000

I also inked around the edges of the X-Press It Blending Paper and Taken with Teal (Stampin' UP, retired) cardstock using the Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.

The gorgeous sentiment is from the SP and Company Ultimate Sentiments II Stamp Set.

Happy Holidays - Tropical Style

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! For today's card I wanted to follow the challenge for this week which is coloring black hair. You can head on over and check out the challenge post and play along by going here. I thought it would be fun to make a card like some of the ones I see in the stores around here. They are the ones that have a sand snowman on the beach or Santa in a beach chair in front of the water and you're supposed to send them to people that don't live in the warmer climates. Well, I used Hula Anya by The Greeting Farm and decked her out in Christmas colors!

I stamped Anya in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics:
Hair: C9, C7, C5, C1, B32
Skin: E23, E21, R24 for cheeks
Reds: R29, R27, R24, R22
Greens: G07, G05, G03, G02

I used the SP & Company - Ultimate Sentiments I set for the 'Happy Holidays' sentiment which I heat embossed with white embossing powder. I actually trimmed some of the excess photopolymer off the edges of the stamp so it was thinner and easier to curve. I was a little nervous to actually cut one of my stamps, but everything went fine, haha!
The patterned paper that I used for the scalloped circle is from the Let it Snow - Dovercraft 4.5"x6.5" Paper Pad. I love the smaller paper pads for card making, they're awesome!

Today's card cute image from SP & Co. I stamped the image on a piece of coordinating designer paper and then colored all but the penguin's tummy with Copic markers.
Copic Colors: W7, W5, W3, W1, R89, R29, YR04.
I used glitter accented designer papers from Dovercraft's Let It Snow Collection and used a touch of Divine Twine to embellish my card.

Tuesday Tips and Tricks: Black Hair Coloring

Like with anything else you color with Copics, all it takes is a little practice :)

Sami's Tips:

Start Light: Start blending lightly, you can always go in and add more of your darker colors.
Don't be afraid to use the 100 and even the 110 (which is even darker!).

Tis the season...to don all of your fuzzy warm apparel!

I used this cute little fellow from SP & Co for today's card.

Samantha showed you one way to make fur...and I used a different method. I colored my pup with E59 and then applied some 0 Colorless Blender solution to a piece of terry cloth. Dab it on and you get some easy peasy fur!

I colored the hat with R89, R29, R27 and flocked it. Designer papers are glittered!!

Ice-Beary Glittery Cuteness

Hey everyone!! Samantha here! I have been having so much fun playing with my new Whiff of Joy stamps and I have a new project for you today!

Here's the finished card:

Card details:

I have been trying lately to step outside of my "comfort zone" a bit and make some different sized cards. This one is a long card.
The bear image is from Whiff of Joy, called Ice-Beary Greetings.
I colored him in with the following Copics from iCopic.com:

For the fur: E23, E25, E27, E29
For the scarf and gloves: BG02, BG05, BG07, BG09
For the snow (and a little shadow around the bear): BG10, BG11
For his ears: R11

The sentiment is stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Ink from Ranger.
I inked up the edges of the sentiment die cut using the Tim Holtz Ink Applicator Tool so it would match my card better.
The patterned paper is from the Let it Snow Paper Pad from Dovecraft. This paper has gorgeous glitter on it (the good kind of glitter paper, where the glitter is sealed in and doesn't get all over everything!!). This pad it actually mat sized, 4.5 X6.5inches. I actually pulled my color combo from this paper.

SAMI's COLORING TIP: Small Strokes

When creating fur, sometimes you WANT to leave the ink strokes un-blended. Add a bunch of smaller brush tip strokes. Let them stay all uneven and rough looking. I wanted my little bear to look furry and full of texture, so creating a bunch of little strokes with my Copics let me pull it off.

Season's Greetings - Hugging Friends

Hi, everyone, Kelli here! It's finally starting to cool off here which is so exciting! It definitely puts me in the holiday card mood! Today I used the adorable Wild Rose Studio - Mia Cuddles stamped in Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. The background paper is sooo cute because the little snowmen have glitter on them! It's the Dovercraft - 6.5x4.5 Let It Snow paper pack. I think it was a great complement to the sparkles on their hats!

Before I tell you which Copics I used to color this adorable pair, I wanted to tell you about their hair (there I got rhyming again, hehe)! I used the awesome Prima Mulberry paper! It has a fuzzy texture somewhat like fabric which I thought would be perfect for hair! For the brunette I used the 6x6 North Country Collection and for the blonde I used the 6x6 Printery Collection. Now, onto the Copics!
Skin: E21, E00 and R20 for cheeks
Reds for hats, flower and outfits: R29, R27, R24 and R22
Blues for outfit: B26, B24, B23, B21 and B0000 for shadowing the white parts on the hats and outfits
Greens for scarf and leaves in flower: G28, G24, G21 and G20

I sponged some light blue ink around the outside of the circle and then used the SP & Company - Christmas Medley set. There are also lots of snowflakes in the Falling Snow set if you wanted to check that one out!

I used a sentiment I had in my stash and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. The cute little accents on either side are Prima Say It In Crystals. I think they are so pretty and I also love how they come with so many sizes and colors on one sheet!
