Marie created two gorgeous cards for your inspiration this week! She used some of her unloved colors to test out different skin color combinations that she hasn't tried before. She used Little Rocker Luka from La-La Land Crafts. Don't these just blow you away?!

Skin colored using E15, E11 and E000.
Add your direct link below and show us your best work with those unloved colors.

Great challenge! I definitely have some unloved colors. The sample cards are fantastic.

Hi everyone! I forgot to mention that the lighter colored skin tone has some yellow-reddish and that was created with YR0000, YR000, Y11 and R20. The second Lil" Luka was done in a much darker skin tone E000, E11 and E15. This was a color combo I got from Marianne Walker when i took her class in Hawaii. She was saying that we are often too afraid to use darker colors and challenged us to try new ethnic skin tones... So I gave it a whirl! I also used the "w's" for hair color and that was something new! The BG was BG70, BG72 and a BG75. Believe it or not.... I never used it before but you can be sure I will use it in the future! LOL
Have fun with this challenge!
Hugs,
Marie

Marie - these are BOTH fabulous and I LOVE the shading you've done for the skin!!! I'm going to try some of those skin tones! I would never think you didn't use your BG's all the time as they are really beautiful and again your shading on the hat is fabulous!

M

Absolutely love the colors used on the guitar on the first card. Both cards are adorable.

These are absolutely stunning, the coloring is perfect, wow!!
Now here is a prob, lol, not really, but have so few copic's, they are all my fav's, what now, do you think i must do an unlikely color on the hair or something like that??
lotsa luv

This was a fun challenge! Thanks for getting my creative juices flowing. :)

I don't think I have any colors that I don't like, but for some reason, I almost never use purple, so I think I'm going to use that, this time // Nemolumos

Great cards!

I rarely use E40 and R0000 and decided to switch up how I usually color the sails on my ship!

LOL We have all been there Theresa! However, the Copic bug got the better of our addiction and now .... we have choices. I think your idea is very creative.... Try it!
Hugs,
Marie

Awesome coloring, Marie. I love the way you've done his face. Absolutely wonderful, Girlfriend!

Funny that everyone has used .."unloved" colours but their cards are still totally awesome! It's always hard to create when you are not really inspired by something .. and colour is a HUGE thing ... so great job everyone!

I am loving using the Copic, I am a newbie but really love learning from you all!!

Great challenge! Yes, I confess that I use entirely too much pink, brown and purple. It was nice to drag out the oranges and greens for a change. :)
