Hula Anya

Hi, everyone!  Kelli here with a new card for you following this weeks challenge, water!  Click here to play along!
The stamp I used was Hula Anya by The Greeting Farm, stamped in Memento - Tuxedo Black Ink.  Isn't she cute?  I just love The Greeting Farm stamps!
For the background I first cut some clouds out of copy paper and then took another piece and just tore it kind of wonky (to be the water), both to be used as a mask.  Then I airbrushed using B26 and moved the water mask around to help make waves.  After I was done I removed all the masks and gave it a light spray to help with the harsh white clouds.  I used a little bit of gel pen to help mimic the sea foamy stuff on the water.  I feel like the water ended up coming out pretty choppy, almost like there is a storm coming her way!  Guess that's fitting seeing we have had nothing but rain here in FL this past week!
For the sandy area I just tore, stamped and inked some kraft card stock.  The yellow background paper is from the Authentique - Blissful 6x6 Paper Pad.  I actually did my very first crooked mat with it.  I  always want everything perfectly lined up, so this was fun to do something just a little different!

To color little Miss Hula Anya, I used Copics: E31, Y35, Y23, Y11 and Y000 for her hair.  YR00, E00 and E000 for her skin.  R22 and R20 for her cheeks.  RV29, RV25 and RV23 for the flowers and her eyelids.  For her grass skirt I used G28, G07, G05, G03 and G02.  B37, B26 and B23 for her top.  I also used the AtYou Spica in Clear for her eyelids and top and then finished it off with some pearls for the flowers in her hair.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!  :)
