Hi all! It's Dana and I am here today to show you my latest creation. I was thrilled when I learned that icopic is going to start carrying Ranger Distress Inks. As you get to know me you will find out how much I love to create backgrounds with my Copics but equally as fun is to make them with Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger.
That's what I did here for my Surfer Ian :
It is so easy to use shapes to create backgrounds. Here I used one of my Sizzix dies for the water shape (sorry, I bought it used and I don't have a name) and one of my scallop nestie shapes for the clouds. I used Broken China Distress Ink for the water and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky. Here's a close up:
It's not showing up real well here but can you see the white flecks?? I used a toothbrush to splatter some Copic Opaque to mimic water spray. I love that stuff! I stamped Surfer Ian with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black on Copic X-Press It Blending Card.
Here's the colors I used to color Ian:
Don't forget to join in our challenge this week. I used to be terrified of red but once you try you will adore them as much as I do ; )
Hugs~
