Hello everyone! Samantha here, and I am filling in for Alyssa today. She should be back in action next week. I am late today because when I was working on getting my project ready for today, the mail came with brand new GORJUSS STAMPS and so I made a new project!!!
This is my first time working with a Gorjuss stamp and let me tell you, GORGEOUS is correct. They are so cute and they stamp beautifully.
I worked with the Gorjuss Rubber Stamp - GJ Ruby for my project today. This one comes as a rubber cling stamp, and included the cling backing. It did need to be trimmed around the edges. Some of the other Gorjuss stamps available at iCopic are clear photopolymer.
RED TIP: BLEND BLEND BLEND!
When coloring with reds, I have to go back and blend (with the lightest red) three or four times. I will do some blending, wait for the ink to dry so the paper is not over saturated, and then blend again! Blending the red areas was by far the most time consuming part of the coloring process for my image. It takes a little bit of patience.
For my image, I used XpressIT blending cardstock and the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.
Here are the Copic colors I used:
- For the hair: C1, C3, C5, C6, C7
- For the shadow around the image: C2
- For the shoes: R00, R02
- For the dress and stockings: R20, R22, R27, R29
- For the cat, rope, and swing seat: E21, E23, E25, E29
- For the skin: E0000, E000, E00, E02
- And for the hairbows, I used the Copic AtYou Spica Glitter - 21 Lipstick Marker Pen
I will be back tomorrow to spotlight some of our wonderful customers! If you would like a chance to be spotlighted right here on the iCopic blog, all you need to do is upload a photo of your project to our Facebook page! I can't wait to see what you share with us!
