Tuesday Tips and Tricks: Color Combo Book

Hi everyone!

Today, I would like to talk to you about color exploration. As you know, there are set colors for easy blending, which have the same letter and first number. BUT because Copics are all alcohol based, you can blend any colors together to get nearly an unlimited color palette. We talked about this a little bit on a previous Tuesday Tips and Tricks segment, and that segment can be found by clicking here.

I don't know about you, but it is difficult for me to remember all the color combinations I test out, so what I have done is start a Color Notebook. I just bought one of those inexpensive little spiral notebooks and inside the notebook, I write down the color combos that I like!  Sometimes I even include a little sample (I just cut out an inch or two of copic paper that I colored, or even a sample stamped image)

I have them listed in sections like hair colors, skin colors, greens, etc.

Here are some combos off my list to get you started on your own Color Notebook:
Blond hair I: Y00, Y11, AND Y21
Blond hair II: Y11, Y21, AND Y15

Skin (Fair): E000, E00
Skin (Light) E00, E11, R20(for the cheeks)

What are some of your favorite color combos to use?
